Surely You Fell Weird Things Too is a collection of thoughts from every day throughout 2017. The thoughts are weaved consecutively into a narrative that is read more like a rushing mind. Employing humor, cliches, and uncensored raw emotions I am trying to push myself through the uncomfortability of being transparent and vulnerable with myself and others.

Excerpt ONE

We’re reaching for a ledge with nothing to hold. It’s only part of this journey – it’s only part of this game. To reach out and feel so alone.

The pressure is on. Look at yourself as if through another’s eyes to gain a more accurate perspective of yourself – don’t distort reality. Do most people suffer from loneliness? Gin, grapefruit juice, soda water, and a couple of ice cubes. I’m feeling in over my head. Steep ass learning curve. The vegetarian bought me meat – how nice of her.

Excerpt TWO

No sleep for days makes me feel like a zombie. Sometimes I feel like the midnight snack. Make time for yourself. Very emotional week. Happy Friday the 13th. Would you like to choose your fortune?

This is more than just wanting to see you – This is about coming to be with you. I need all these voices to get out of my head! What does Mika want? Think of people and they appear… She’s been haunting you all day.

Hear it loud and feel it deep. “Communicate it simply.” I pressed send. We will see what comes back. Making actions to shape my future. Scary.

We saw a tumbleweed! What jewels of people I have in my life. All these art museums show the same stuff.

The fortuneteller says, “Follow your heart.” Don’t wish it away. I’m here and will be there soon. It’s so hot and I don’t know how to answer any of your questions. I can help too – I have some useful abilities. I do have answers to your questions.
